Every successful band needs that element of magic and electricity that only a talented front man, or front woman in this case, can deliver. Someone who will get up on stage, seize the spotlight, lead the band, electrify the crowd and bring down the house. Meet Marcie, front woman and President of MAC Presents. Marcie was born with music blood. Her grandfather, Hoss Allen, became famous in the 1950s for standing behind his beliefs and playing rhythm and blues and jazz as a radio disc jockey in the segregated South in Nashville. Like her grandfather, Marcie is known throughout the music industry for her being steadfast in her beliefs and for her tenacity in making sure that each program over delivers for our clients. Marcie started in the music industry early in life by booking bands at Harpeth Hall in Nashville and her sorority (Tri-Delt) at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. This evolved into her owning/producing music festivals including Nashville’s Dancin’ in the District, Atlanta’s On the Bricks, Washington DC Sessions and the Memphis Jam. In 2004, Marcie created MAC Presents, a music experiential agency that negotiates high profile sponsorships between the world’s leading brands and artists. Throughout her career, she has created custom, sponsor-driven programs with some of the world’s largest brands including AT&T, Delta, Samsung, Citi, Jeep, Southwest, Bud Light, Capital One, Ford, Verizon, Nielsen, Miller, Chrysler, and Microsoft, with Foo Fighters, Rolling Stones, Tim McGraw, Green Day, Cage the Elephant, Billy Joel, Khalid, John Legend, Lady Antebellum, Metallica, Imagine Dragons, Chance the Rapper, and Keith Urban. She is an eleven-time nominee and six-time winner of Billboard’s “Concert Marketing and Promotion Award” and has been named to Billboard’s “Women in Music” list every year since 2010. Allen has been included on numerous Billboard lists including: “Power 100” in 2018, “Branding Power Players” in 2016 and 2017, “Hip Hop Power Players” in 2017, “40 under 40” in 2013 and has also received the “Humanitarian Award” in 2013. Variety selected Allen to its 2015 “Power of Women: New York Impact List,” representing the most powerful women in entertainment. Of course, like any front person, she’s crazy about the things she loves. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Country Music Association (CMA), Harpeth Hall School (where she is also Co-Chair, National Alumnae Council) and is an alumnae of Leadership Music (Class of 2004). Allen has been an adjunct professor since 2013 at NYU Steinhardt and NYU Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. She was a member of the 2016 Cannes Lions Entertainment Music jury and the 2016 Clio Music jury. Although she now resides in New York City, she splits her time in Nashville with her husband and two beautiful stepdaughters, still has an affinity for fruit tea, loves her dog Blue and traveling the world.
